Simon has been continuously involved in the Australian finance industry since 1989, providing him with 35+ years of industry knowledge and experience. His roles have included being an AFSL license holder, sole Responsible Officer, Chief Executive Officer, Chief Investment Officer and Executive Director of a boutique fund management business he founded in 2004 with boutique incubator, Ascalon (Westpac owned).
Simon has been engaged to establish the client, compliance and regulatory frameworks necessary to operationalise Australis’s AFSL. The mandate is to drive Australis’s transformation into a wholesale boutique incubation business, dedicated to empowering investment professionals with an umbrella service offering that includes renting the AFSL to Corporate Authorised Representatives (CAR’s) and assisting them to launch their own wholesale investment products.
He is also an Executive Responsible Manager under Australis’s AFS licence and Chair of the Investment Committee, which is charged with making decisions on any complex and/or material equity investment opportunities to be made on behalf of the business.
Jackson Reynolds

Jackson has been involved in the Australian finance industry since 2021, working part-time through university as a research analyst at a Sydney based stockbroking firm, Veritas Securities Ltd. His areas of expertise have been preparing both individual stock and market sector research papers, mainly the constituents being companies and sectors listed on the ASX.
Jackson’s role at Australis is to assist the CEO with wholesale target manger identification, evaluation and potential investment opportunities as proposed under the boutique incubation model to be deployed using the Australis AFS licence. Jackson will also be heavily involved in preparing research papers for the Australis Investment Committee, which is charged with making decisions on any complex and/or material minority equity investment opportunities to be made on behalf of the business. Jackson will also be involved in organising monthly client reporting and preparing quarterly compliance & Board papers for the Australis business.
Roberto Bettiol

Roberto joined the Veritas Group in 2021 after 16 years at SONY Mobile as a Service Delivery Manager. Bringing with him over 10 years’ experience in managing Customer Service and Operations across the Oceanic region. Since joining the Veritas Group, Roberto utilises his industry experience and expertise to oversee Group administration operational responsibilities including providing administrative/operational support for the Australis team.
Kelly Randle
Financial Controller & Compliance Officer

Kelly is an experienced Financial Controller with strong administration and compliance / training skills. She has a passion for accounting and an eye for detail which sees her enjoy trouble shooting and problem solving. Kelly’s industry knowledge has developed over 25 years of working alongside high-quality clients in both private and listed equities and she joined the Veritas Group in 2013. Kelly will ensure that both Australis and its CAR’s have appropriately designed compliance and training programmes to specifically cater for all internal staff and appointed representatives.
Bryce Reynolds

Bryce has been involved in the finance industry since 1986 providing him with 35+ years of industry knowledge and experience. Since 2000, Bryce has expanded his areas of expertise to include Funds Management and Investment Banking including Mergers and Acquisitions. He held leading roles with two mid-tiered Australian Securities firms before establishing Veritas as a founding director in 2006.
Bryce specialises in strategic Corporate Advice and Equity Capital Markets and oversees the operation and management of Veritas. His positions at Australis include being a non-executive director, non-executive Responsible Manager under the Australis AFS licence and investment committee member charged with making investment decisions.
Piers Reynolds

Piers has over 25 years’ experience in the minerals and finance industries. He was previously a geologist in gold, base metals, and bulk commodities for ten years prior to joining a mid-tier Australian securities firm as a resource analyst. Piers has extensive experience in exploration, development and operation of mining projects and detailed knowledge of Equity Capital Markets, Corporate Advisory, Mergers and Acquisitions and Fundamental Analysis. He was a founding director of Australis and remains a non-executive director and company secretary.
Grant Kull
Non-Executive Responsible Manager, Non-executive Investment Committee Member

Grant has over 30 years financial markets experience. In his position as a senior broker, Grant is responsible for providing broking services in relation to fixed interest securities, futures options and foreign exchange, both domestically and offshore. In relation to fixed interest securities, Grant is responsible for broking activities between counterparties of both major Australian banks and international investment banks situated both in Australia and around the word. In relation to futures products, Grant is responsible for receiving and executing client orders across a range of products platforms, and for exchanging, liaising with and advising a broad range of clients including hedge funds, banks, fund managers, and investment banks. Again, Grant conducts these activities both domestically and offshore, and in relation to a variety of complex and simple hedging, trading and profit-making financial futures and option strategies.
